Hippie Kurti

My fashionistas,  I do not do drugs, never done it, infact I have never smoked a cigarette in this life, so I am probably the wrong person to say I absolutely love hippie era. The best thing about hippie era is its fashion trends, I reckon. Those bohemian styled 80′s vintage hippie kurtis, kaftan dresses, head bands, tons of junk jewelleries, Osho chappals (Flip-flop),  jhola bags are so fascinating and have always been my weakness. So, I dedicate this post to my love for hippie era’s fashion trends. This is the perfect Look from spring on summer and has a real boho feel to it.

I have almost buried these collections of Indian kurtis (top) away as I hardly get to wear them in the english weather. They are out this year, thanks to the month long summer. The other day I wore this Kurti with washed out Denim, the number of compliments I received from my colleagues reassured me that I should wear them more often on casual fridays or during weekend getaways. What I loved most about this kurti is how it played with two different fabrics- pure silk and Benarasi. Dressing up a casual look with this ethnic Indian top is a complete fun experience. Great with jeans, skirt or pants, this traditional blouse will be a favorite!

Perfect for Festivals, Beach, Travel, Lounging, Burning Man, Coachella, Joshua Tree or a tropical Island, this Kurti-Harem pant combination takes me back to my undergraduate days in Delhi University, India.  Any girl from the campus will identify herself with this look.

And then there are days when the wet, damp, windy weather just compliments your outfit and make photo shooting a dreamy experience!

Top Tip: Go for OTT eye make-up with this Look, don’t hesitate to draw your upper and lower lines with jet black liquid eye liner or kohl pencil even you are going out during the day, a dash of lip-gloss or pastel shaded lipstick will tone it down, don’t worry!

Try it, if you like it, drop me a line at the comment section, as I like to hear what you have to say.
